The bout was originally supposed to have taken place at a 157lb catchweight back in October 2022, only to be cancelled just a few days out after Benn failed two voluntary drugs tests.
However, he has always denied any wrongdoing and is now clear to finally take on his long-time foe as part of the latest instalment in a family rivalry that began with two epic title clashes between Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn in the 1990s.
There is more than just simple bragging rights on the line in the capital on Saturday night after a prolonged fight build-up packed with a plethora of incident and controversy, from Eubank Jr slapping his rival across the face with an egg in press conference chaos to him being heavily fined for fractionally missing the middleweight limit on Friday.
A stacked undercard includes a third showdown between British light-heavyweight rivals Anthony Yarde and Lyndon Arthur, plus former Eubank Jr opponent Liam Smith’s return against Aaron McKenna and Chris Billam-Smith fighting for the first time since losing the WBO cruiserweight world title to Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez as he battles big-talking American Brandon Glanton.
The British cruiserweight title is also on the line as Cheavon Clarke defends his belt against undefeated challenger Viddal Riley.
