England face France in Bolton after their huge performance to see off Samoa last weekend

Shaun Wane’s hosts began the delayed competition with a superb 60-6 demolition of Samoa at St James’ Park last weekend, running in no fewer than 10 tries on a memorable afternoon in the north east including a brace apiece from Elliott Whitehead and Dominic Young.
It was an emphatic statement from England and a firm riposte to their doubters in what was expected to be their most tricky assignment in Group A.
Wane has called up all the players who missed out on the squad last week to face France, who beat tournament debutants Greece 34-12 in their opener in Doncaster on Monday.
Wigan Warriors star Kai Pearce-Paul is set to make his debut for England, along with St Helens forward Joe Batchelor, while John Bateman returns from suspension.
