How to watch England vs Austria - TV details and early team news for Women's Euro 2022 opener

England will be looking to make a winning start to the 2022 Women's European Championship when they face Austria in the tournament opener at Old Trafford this evening, kick-off 8pm.

The Lionesses, who thumped both the Netherlands (5-1) and Switzerland (4-0) in their most recent warm-up matches, will be determined to make a winning start to proceedings in Group A and maintain their unbeaten start to life under manager Sarina Wiegman. They enter the tournament as one of the favourites and will be looking to become the first Lionesses side to win a major trophy.

England, under the stewardship of former manager Phil Neville, reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in France back in 2019 and have improved significantly since then, with their array of attacking options leading to some sensational results since Wiegman took charge last year. They have won the Arnold Clark Cup under her and will be hoping for more success this month.
