England's Under-21 European Championship final against Spain will be broadcast live on UK television.
The Young Lions have reached the final of the tournament in impressive fashion, topping their group and reeling off five successive wins, all without conceding a goal. They beat Portugal 1-0 in the quarter-finals last weekend and followed that up with a 3-0 win over Israel to reach the showpiece.
There they will face Spain, who were impressive 5-1 winners over Ukraine in their semi-final and topped their group with seven points from three games before battling past Switzerland after extra time in the last eight. England, managed by Lee Carsley, have not won the tournament since the 1980s but have an impressive squad containing the likes of Manchester City trio James Trafford, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Cole Palmer.
Thus far none of the matches have been shown on television after the tournament was not picked up by a UK broadcaster. UEFA's website have streamed all the games and the Daily Mail claim the FA requested the opportunity to show the matches as free-to-air on the England team YouTube channel, which possesses 2.26million subscribers. However, UEFA are said to have rejected the proposal in order to broadcast the matches live on UEFA TV, which requires fans to register an account for access to the free streaming service.
But Channel Four have now stepped in to broadcast the final on free to air television. The match, in Georgia, kicks off at 5pm UK time.
