England begin their European Championships qualifying campaign this week with tough opening Group C matches against Italy and Ukraine, as Gareth Southgate and his squad seek to put 2022 World Cup disappointment behind them for good.
The Three Lions have not featured since being knocked out in Qatar by France at the quarter final stage three months ago. In the immediate aftermath there was belief Southgate would walk away from his post, however the rumours were shut down sooner than many expected as the waistcoat-wearing hero confirmed he would be ready to go again once more for the next European Championships.
And so, the long road to Germany begins this week as the national team play the first two fixtures of 10 that will take place throughout the calendar year. Italy to open, of course, is bittersweet given the fact the last time the nations met in the competition was the Final at Wembley 19 months ago, whilst Ukraine present a different challenge with their World Cup play-off heartbreak against Wales still fresh in the memory.
These matches will be broadcast live on TV, and the Manchester Evening News can provide all the details of how to follow England in their next venture.
What TV channel are England's Euro 2024 qualifiers on?
Television coverage of England this week can be found on Channel 4. Last spring the broadcaster announced a deal that would allow them exclusive rights to England's UEFA Nations League matches throughout 2022 followed by their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign this year.
The programme will be headed by presenter Jules Breach, who in the past has been joined by pundits such as Michael Owen, Joe Cole and Ashley Cole on Channel 4. On commentary, Steve Bower has headed the team, with two more former England stars - Rob Green and Graeme Le Saux - on co-comms.
When are England's Euro 2024 qualifiers taking place?
England's first match against Italy in Naples kicks off at 7:45pm GMT on Thursday 23rd March, with television coverage beginning at 7:00pm on the night.
They are then back in action three days later on Sunday 26th March when they take on Ukraine at Wembley. Kick-off is at 5:00pm BST, as the clocks change overnight, with coverage also beginning at the same time. Post-match coverage is therefore extended for further analysis.
If you are unable to tune into Channel 4's live coverage, they also offer highlights of both matches later on the same evening each take place, or alternatively the Manchester Evening News will be on hand with England content throughout the week.
