How to watch Emmy winners Succession, The White Lotus and Ted Lasso in the UK

Succession, Ted Lasso and The White Lotus were the victors in their respective drama, comedy and limited categories at this year’s Emmy Awards. In total, the trio bagged 12 awards at Monday’s ceremony, including the big prize in their respective fields.

Success well and truly arrived for Succession, who won five three awards: its second Outstanding Drama Series, Matthew Macfayden for Supporting Actor and creator Jesse Armstrong for writing. Ted Lasso secured four trophies, including its second straight Outstanding Comedy Series, a directing award for MJ Delaney and acting nods for Brett Goldstein and Jason Sudeikis.

The White Lotus went one better by claiming five Emmys, with creator Mike White triumphing in writing and directing, Jennifer Coolidge and Murray Bartlett winning acting trophies and the show as a whole winning the Outstanding Limited Series award. With future seasons scheduled for all three series, there’s plenty to catch up with before continuing their stories over the coming months.

How to watch Succession in the UK?

The first three seasons of Succession are available to watch on Sky TV. The episodes can also be viewed by purchasing a Now TV Entertainment Pass.

An Entertainment Pass will set you back £9.99 a month, while first-timers can utilise a free seven-day trial to cram in their Succession fix. Once season four eventually releases, episodes are expected to air weekly on Sky Atlantic - possibly every Monday night as was the case for season three.

Alternatively, individual episodes are available to buy on Amazon for £2.49, or £12.99 for season one’s entirety. Succession follows the Roy family, who control one of the biggest media companies in the world, with scheming and back-stabbing inevitable within the Murdoch-esque empire.

How to watch Ted Lasso in the UK?

Ted Lasso is an Apple TV exclusive, meaning a subscription with Apple TV+ is a necessity. People can get a free seven-day trial before beginning a monthly subscription at £4.99 per month.

There is also the option to get three months free when you buy an eligible Apple device. Two seasons (22 episodes) have already entertained viewers, with a third edition on the way, with release dates speculated as being late 2022/early 2023.

The comedy focuses on the titular character, an American college football coach who is tasked with managing the struggling English football (or soccer in Ted’s case) team AFC Richmond. The series proved an instant hit, with Emmys bagged for both seasons, as well as a Golden Globe for Jason Sudeikis’ leading role.

How to watch The White Lotus in the UK?

The newest of the lot, The White Lotus premiered in July 2021 to critical acclaim and high ratings. Like Succession, episodes are available to stream on Now TV, with the six-part series originally airing weekly on Sky Atlantic a month after its US release.

The second season is due to begin this October with a whole new cast of characters set to enter the fray. This social satire follows numerous guests and employees at the fictional White Lotus holiday resort in Hawaii, with the second series due to be set in Sicily, over the course of a week.
