How to watch Comic Relief 2023 on TV and who is hosting annual Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day 2023 has arrived and millions of viewers are set to tune in to watch Comic Relief this evening.

The annual telethon will air this on Friday, March 17 with a host of stars appearing on our screens in a bid to raise as much money as possible. After weeks of fundraising efforts, from bake sales to dress up days in schools and places of work, the big night has arrived.

Since starting back in 1985 Comic Relief has raised a huge £1billion, with donations going towards charitable effort in the UK and abroad. First established by comedian Sir Lenny Henry and writer Richard Curtis, the tele special is now something people look forward to every year. From comedy sketches to TV specials, tonight's show is bound to be a good one! But how can you watch? Here is everything you need to know.

When is Comic Relief 2023?

This year's Comic Relief airs on Friday, March 17 live from Media City, Salford.

It is the events 38th year since launching back in 1985. The three-hour fundraising special will start at 7pm.

Who is hosting Comic Relief 2023?

Presenters this evening include AJ Odudu, Joel Dommet, Zoe Ball, Paddy McGuinness and David Tennant.

There will also be a few surprise face popping up throughout the telethon.

Will there be any comedy of TV specials on Comic Relief 2023?

The show will be jam packed, with hilarious sketches, live performance, music performances and lots of big surprises throughout the three hour show.

There will be several skits from hit TV shows , including EastEnders, Waterloo Road and The Apprentice.

A special edition of The Traitors will also feature as well as special scene from Killing Eve.

Lots of famous faces are set to appear, with Kylie Minogue starring in a sketch created by the cast of BBC sitcom Ghosts and lots more surprises throughout.
