Week 2 of the preseason is already upon us, with the Indianapolis Colts taking on the Arizona Cardinals at Lucas Oil Stadium at 7:00 PM ET on Saturday.
This game comes on the heels of the two teams participating in joint practices on Wednesday and Thursday. To learn more about what took place on Day 1, click here. For more on Day 2, click here.
Following Thursday’s practice, head coach Shane Steichen announced that the Colts’ starters on both offense and defense, along with backup quarterback Joe Flacco, will not be playing on Saturday.
This decision doesn’t come as a huge surprise. For one, Steichen took the same approach in Week 2 during the 2023 preseason.
In addition to that, there are a lot of valuable reps that can be gained in joint practices, with key starters from both teams participating and the coaching staffs more willing to show some not-so-vanilla schematic looks, helping to provide a good challenge on both sides of the ball.
To watch the game locally, tune into CBS4 with Greg Rakestraw on the call with Rick Venturi as the analyst and Larra Overton on the sideline.
To listen live, Sunday’s contest can be heard on 93.5/107.5 The Fan, or 97.1 HANK and the Ascension St. Vincent Radio Network. Matt Taylor will be doing the play-by-play, Joe Reitz the color analyst, and Jeffrey Gorman will be on the sideline.
If in market, fans can head to Colts.com to stream the game. For those out of market, fans can stream games on NFL+ with a subscription.
