Manchester City's clash with Inter Milan in the Champions League final will be available for FREE this evening.
The Premier League champions take on the Italian outfit, who come in as firm underdogs. Pep Guardiola's side are looking to claim a first ever European Cup, which would complete an iconic treble, emulating their arch rivals Manchester United, who did so in 1999.
Inter meanwhile are eyeing a fourth triumph, which would be a first since the Jose Mourinho says of 2010. They saw off city rivals AC Milan to make the contest in Istanbul, the scene of Liverpool's legendary comeback in 2005.
City beat holders Real Madrid in comprehensive fashion in the semi-finals. After a 1-1 draw in the Bernabeu they romped to a 4-0 victory on their own patch to further amplify their status as tournament favourites. In the last eight they also made light work of Bayern Munich.
Guardiola himself is seeking a first European success since his Barcelona days. Victory at Wembley in 2011 remains the last time he lifted the trophy and he's had some notable near misses since then, including the final with City two years ago, where they were beaten by Chelsea.
The Catalan has said ahead of his fourth Champions League final: "This is the finish. The Champions League is an incredible competition. It's absolutely a dream, yes. To achieve things you always have to have the correct proportion of obsession and desire. It's a positive word, willingness to try to do it, of course."
Kevin De Bruyne meanwhile is determined to right City's recent wrongs in the competition: “We’ve not won it yet. So as long as we don’t win it, these questions are going to come back every year. But we’ve been so consistent, even if we’ve not won it, in the eight years I’ve been here we’ve reached finals, semi-finals, quarter-finals, so we’ve always been in the top eight, top four in the Champions League. We’ve just not won it yet, and that’s the only thing we want to change.”
