The Ohio State alumni team continues to play at a high level behind the powerhouse duo of Jared Sullinger and Kaleb Wesson. Carmen’s Crew knocked off the defending champions from a year ago defeating Heartfire 74-71 to advance to the quarterfinals of The Basketball Tournament.
Winners of the Dayton Regional, the alumni team will now move on down the road to Louisville and face the winner of the Cincinnati Regional, Takeover BC. The No. 7 seed in the Cincinnati Region won convincingly over Red Rose Thunder to make it to the quarterfinals. The team boasts one of the best backcourts in the tournament, AJ English and Desi Washington. The duo accounts for over 44 points per game for Takeover BC.
