How to watch Bellator 294: Who’s fighting, lineup, start time, broadcast info

For the fourth time since 2018, Bellator is back in Hawaii this week for back-to-back shows.

Here’s how to watch Bellator 294, with a complete lineup and look at the top fights.

Broadcast and streaming info

Mauro Ranallo

Bellator 294 takes place Friday at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu. It is the first of back-to-back Bellator events at the venue.

The prelims stream on MMA Junkie (in the U.S.) and Bellator’s YouTube channel at 7 p.m. ET. The main card airs on Showtime at 10 p.m. ET.

Main event

Liz Carmouche def. Juliana Velasquez – Bellator 289

Women’s flyweight champion Liz Carmouche (18-7 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) returns to the site where she won the 125-pound title a year ago against then-champion Juliana Velasquez. This past December, Carmouche defended the belt in a rematch with Velasquez, and after stopping her with a fourth-round TKO in their first meeting, she put her away in the second at Bellator 289. This time, Carmouche will take on DeAnna Bennett (13-7-1 MMA, 3-1 BMMA), whom she beat with a third-round submission in September 2020 in what was the Bellator debut for each of them. Since that loss, Bennett has three straight wins.

Co-main event

Tim Johnson

Former interim heavyweight title challenger Tim Johnson (15-9 MMA, 3-5 BMMA) hooks up with Said Sowma (8-4 MMA, 2-3 BMMA) for a heavyweight banger in the co-feature. Johnson will be looking to snap a three-fight skid that started with his interim belt loss to Valentin Moldavsky. After that, he was knocked out in the first round by Fedor Emelianenko and likely upcoming title challenger Linton Vassell. Sowma has two consecutive losses, but both where by split decision.

Carmouche holds Bellator’s women’s flyweight title, and she’s also a former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger. So, too, is Sara McMann (13-6 MMA, 0-0 BMMA), who after fighting in the UFC for years came to Bellator as a free agent. But she’ll move up from 135 pounds to featherweight, where Cris Cyborg holds the belt. McMann will take on Arlene Blencowe (15-9 MMA, 8-5 BMMA), whose most recent fight was a title shot loss to Cyborg a year ago in Hawaii.
