It’s United’s last hope of picking up some silverware this season as they look to gain an advantage from the first-leg of their last-16 tie against the La Liga champions.
United have picked up a couple of much-needed wins recently to boost their hopes of qualifying for next season’s competition through the top four.
They're now preparing to face an Atletico side who are also struggling this season and are having to deal with a raft of injury problems.

As is the same for all Champions League games and other European competitions, UK viewers can watch the game live on BT Sport.
The clash will be available on BT Sport 2, with coverage getting underway at 7pm.
What time is kick-off?
Like most European games, United’s first-leg begins at 8pm.
The other last-16 tie of the evening will also get underway at the same time, with Ajax facing Benfica in Portugal.

What is the early Atletico Madrid vs Man United team news?
Edinson Cavani remains unavailable for United on Wednesday evening having missed the last three games with a groin injury, as well as having a stomach problem prior to Sunday’s win at Leeds.
Raphael Varane will be vying for a return to the starting line-up having been named on the bench at Elland Road, while Eric Bailly could make his first appearance since December after being named in the travelling squad.
As for the hosts, Atletico are facing a slight injury crisis ahead of the game, with four players having missed training earlier this week.
Thomas Lemar was absent after coming into close contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19, while Benjamin Lecomte, Daniel Wass and Matheus Cunha were also missing and have been ruled out of Wednesday’s game.
Antoine Griezmann could be in line to return having been named on the bench against Osasuna on Saturday.
