How to stream Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Hayu and Britbox for free

As the cost of living crisis continues to worsen, many of us are looking for ways to save money - now more so than ever.

Amid the grim news that the energy price cap will rise by a huge 80% next month, and with the cost of food and other essentials also rising, many of us are cancelling subscriptions and getting rid of things we don't need in order to spend less.

With so many TV streaming services to choose from, as well as paid-for broadcasters such as Sky and Virgin, it can be difficult to know which to choose from, and having more than one will soon add up.

But Money Saving Expert has now shared some tips for how to get up to 79 days of free streaming from Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Hayu, Britbox and others. You don't even have to have a television, as most can also be streamed on smartphones or tablets.

Most also offer free trials, giving you access for a set time period. You just need to cancel each trial before it runs out, or you're at risk of being charged.

And if you run each free trial back to back, MSE says, you can get as much as 79 days of TV and film for free. This is because Amazon Prime, for example, offers a 30-day free trial.

Britbox offers a week, as does Apple TV+, hayu, Paramount+ and Discovery+, and others. Once you've finished your free trials, there are other ways to get your telly fix for free, too, such as such as All 4, BBC iPlayer and My5.
