When is the 7 planet parade?
Through January, February and March 2025, 7 planets will grace the sky with their presence (I mean, they’re always up there, but it’s rare for us to be able to see them!).
6 of the 7 planets will be in prime viewing for us Aussies — namely Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus (although you’ll need a decent telescope for those last two).
But hey, that’s a pretty damn good score! I’m liking those odds.
Your best chance of seeing the planets will be on the evening of Friday 28th February, after which you’ll have to wait 15 years before seeing the parade again.

How to see the 7 planet parade
Here’s the rundown on how to see the planets in all their glory.
The best way to peep the planetary parade is to situate yourself away from the city lights, ideally on an open hill.
Take your telescope as the planets can be rather elusive in the night sky. Expect to see them form their happy marching line just after sunset.
To see Venus and Saturn, you’re gonna wanna get in early as they will only be visible for a lil while after the sun sets. Between these two planets will be Neptune and Uranus.
As for Jupiter, look north, and for Mars, northeast is your best bet.
