One of Fortnite's latest challenges involves players harnessing the power of the Force for its destined use – as written in the ancient Jedi scrolls – knocking down a tree.
As part of the Fortnite Find the Force event introduced with Fortnite Update 24.30 players have a selection of missions based on the relatively unknown movie franchise Star Wars. This weeks quests entitled 'Begun the Clone Wars have' introduced 16 new challenges for Fortnite players to hone their Jedi skills with. One of this weeks trickier quests involves using the ancient Jedi techniques to blast down a specific tree, perhaps Sith lords love Pine trees? Who knows!
Knocking down a Timber Pine will get you one step closer to unlocking the 'Begun the Clone Wars have' Sith Holocron, as well as the grand prize of the event, a Darth Maul skin. Now to complete this mission you'll need to have access to a lightsaber or Force ability, now you can pick up a lightsaber from a downed enemy, but it's much easier to find a Jedi or Sith master which we already have a handy guide for.
While you're equipped with the Force you can also complete other missions like Launching Kinectic Ore and 'Destroying 50 objects with Force abilities or a Star Wars weapon', which will also get you closer to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 's latest batch of rewards.
Where to find Timber Pines in Fortnite
Timber Pine trees can be found all across the map, with the highest concentration of them being in the bottom right corner of the map, around the Mega City, Kenjutsu Crossing and Knotty Nets areas of the map. These areas are packed full of pine trees, but it's Timber Pines we're looking for, so if you've knocked down a ton of pines and are wondering where your Galactic Reputation is, you have the wrong tree.
Timber Pines are basically extremely tall and extremely thick pine trees, these should tower above the player. To know for sure if you have the right tree, once it's knocked down the giant tree should remain spawned and ready to roll about (and also the mission should complete for you, that'll give it away too).
How to knock down Timber Pines with a lightsaber or the Force
This is the easy part, simply run up to one of these giant trees and smash it with your lightsaber, it should topple over with no bother and the quest is complete. If you really want to use the Force for whatever reason, we'd recommend Darth Maul's Force Throw ability as this has the most raw destructive power (as a Sith lord should).
It's as simple as that, that devious tree should be on the ground and you should be 200 Galactic Reputation closer to unlocking the horn-headed Sith lord. Plus now that the tree is down you could always try launching it at an enemy with your snazzy Force powers – it's not necessary for a mission, it would just be pretty cool.
