How to get tickets for Varsity 2022 as Swansea take on Cardiff for first time in two years

It's the day where two tribes face off against each other on the sports fields - with university students in their thousands donning their respective colours hoping to take home the bragging rights for the year ahead.

And now, after a two-year hiatus during the coronavirus pandemic, Welsh Varsity is officially back.

More than 15,000 students from Cardiff University and Swansea University are expected to be at this year's event, which will be hosted in Swansea, as students will compete across 40 sports for the biggest prize in Welsh student sport - The Varsity Shield.

Taking place on April 27, the day will be held at Swansea Bay Sports Park, located in Sketty Lane - across the road from Park Campus.

And the day will culminate in the women’s and men’s rugby union double header, fighting for the Welsh Varsity Cup at the Swansea.com stadium. The home of Swansea City Football Club will be turned into a sea of green and white, for the Swansea students, and red for those travelling from Cardiff.

Tickets have officially gone on sale for this year's event, and cost £37.50 plus a £2.45 booking fee. The price includes a match ticket for the men's & women's rugby at the Swansea.com Stadium, access to day sports and fan zones at Swansea Bay Sports Park, an official Varsity supporter’s t-shirt, promotional merchandise, and entry to the official after party. There will also be free travel to and from the stadium from select locations.

You need to be either a student or an alumni to be able to attend the event. You can purchase your tickets by clicking here.
