The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is full of new things to discover from undiscovered abilities, sky maps and of course, lots of new outfits for Link. Including the Archaic Tunic from the trailers, which you'll want to get ASAP.
The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Archaic Tunic isn't a sturdy bit of kit by any means, but it's strong enough to be worth your time to ferret out in the first portion of the game. It has pretty low defence stat, sitting at just one and there's no apparent set bonus when wearing with the Archaic Legwear, which you get at the start of the game with. Although calling a pair of sandals 'legwear' is pushing it a bit.
You can find Archaic Warm Greaves to swap out the legwear for, which offer Cold Resistance, which are located close to Gutanbac Shrine on the east of the Great Sky Island.
You may recognise the Archaic Tunic from the Tears of the Kingdom trailers, so if you want to roleplay as trailer Link or just like the understated look of throwing on a sack and calling it a day, then let's get you sorted out. Here's how to get the Tears of the Kingdom Archaic Tunic.
Where to find the Tears of the Kingdom Archaic Tunic
You can find the Tears of the Kingdom Archaic Tunic in Pondside Cave which is a location in the southwest portion of the Great Sky Island map.
After you've visited In-Isa Shrine on the west of the map, head southeast towards the cave entrance marked on the map above. You'll pass Zonai Constructs and Chuchus which you can ignore or engage with, then just keep heading down the steps towards the cave entrance.
Once you're in Pondside Cave, it's a straightforward path to follow to find the chest with the Tears of the Kingdom Archaic Tunic inside. Your path will be littered with the familiar Keese from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, as well as the new enemy Bubbulfrog that like to dangle from cave ceilings.
Keep pushing through until you reach the northern exit where you'll spot a chest. The Tears of the Kingdom Archaic Tunic is inside.
Once you leave, you can head towards Gutanbac Shrine and get yourself the Archaic Warm Greaves. If you have an Energy Cell you can make a boat and get yourself over to the shrine that way. There's a big old tree close to Gutanbac Shrine which you can use Link's Ascend ability to reach. The tree is hollow, and inside, you'll find a chest containing the Archaic Warm Greaves.
