Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 features a new Crown Clan Tag that will help distinguish you from the pack in lobbies and Winner’s Circles.
Unlike traditional text-based clan tags, which are typically used to signify your squad affiliation, the new tag is an eye-catching insignia.
Fittingly, the miniature symbol features a gold crown inside a triangle that appears before your player name.
Best of all, you may already have it and, if not, it’s easy to unlock (as long as you don’t mind paying for it).

How to get the Crown Clan Tag BO6
Introduced as part of the season 1 update, the Crown Clan tag is only available to owners of the BlackCell Battle Pass.
For the unfamiliar, this is the premium version of the game’s seasonal progression system that features extra rewards including Operators, stickers, and Calling Cards.
By purchasing BlackCell for £30, or by upgrading to the Black Ops 6 Vault Edition (the deluxe version of the game) for the same price, you’ll unlock the Crown Clan Tag instantly.
Believe it or not, you don’t have to grind through the actual Battle Pass to grab it.
How to equip the Crown Clan Tag
So how do you use it? There are two ways to equip the Crown Clan Tag in Black Ops 6.
The first is via the Barracks section where you can check your stats, progress, and edit your profile.
In this case, you’ll want to do the latter. On any of the multiplayer modes, head to Barracks and select “customize”. Now, choose “profile”, followed by “clan tag”, and finally, “equip BlackCell Clan Tag”.
You can also access the profile customisation options by pressing the options button on the PS5 DualSense controller, or the menu button on the Xbox controller, and pressing R1/RB to scroll to the profile icon. Here, you’ll also see the “edit clan tag” option at the bottom of the list.
To remove the tag, you can either type in a new clan tag or delete your clan tag altogether. Just make sure to save your changes before exiting the menu.
Will there be more BlackCell Clan Tags?
Notably, Activision plans to release BlackCell-themed rewards throughout season 1, suggesting that more cosmetics could be introduced at a later date versus all at once. This could mean that it has more visual Clan Tags up its sleeve.
