How to get rid of condensation as cleaning expert 'swear by' cheap hack

As temperatures remain low, condensation can became a real problem in many homes.

But if you are finding it difficult to tackle the issue, one cleaning expert reckons they have the perfect method to try. Although unconventional, the pro 'swear by' the top tip.

Taking to TikTok to share her family's method, "queen of clean", Lynsey, gave viewers a set of simple instruction, urging them to wipe the moisture build-dup off their windows each morning with a microfibre cloth before opening windows to let them dry out.

The expert also added that using a dehumidifier can be a 'game changer' for combating condensation, reports Chronicle Live. Lynsey, who has made several appearances on TV shows including this morning to share her tips, explained that using washing up liquid on the glass can help banish condensation. She explained the tip is something many would never even think of trying, but promised it works a treat.

She said: "You only need a tiny drop. You're creating a barrier which is going to stop the water from sticking on it."

The video has racked up thousands on views on the social media channel, with some viewers sceptical about the method, wondering whether it would leave smudges and screeches on their windows.

However, others backed up the method. commenting to explain they had tried it themselves. "Washing up liquid does work, I had to do it with my old windows," one person said.

"It works - I do this each week to keep on top of it," another commenter revealed. "I had my own cleaning business and used to make my customer baffled when I did this to their bathroom mirror."
