As Mrs Doubtfire comes to the end of its huge four-week run at Manchester’s Opera House this week, it will make way for a jam-packed months of theatre, musicals and comedy throughout October in the city. Between Palace Theatre and the Opera House, there’s a whopping 10 productions to choose from - including The Lion King, Jersey Boys and Ru Paul’s Drag Race tour.
The biggest show of the season will of course be Disney’s The Lion King , which is running for 16 weeks from Thursday, October 27 to Sunday, February 19.
Some tickets for package seats are as much as £112, but fans who want to see the production for less can get tickets from just £20 . But you’ll have to be quick as they’re selling fast, with only medium and low availability between now and Christmas. January and February do seem to have more available, though.

We all know the powerful story of Simba and his adventure to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. The on-stage production has since been seen by 110 million people worldwide.
In the show, a huge 232 puppets feature to bring the show to life, and it’s certain to dazzle audiences in its four-month residency.
