How to get around London as TfL Tube, Overground, and rail are disrupted by snow

London has been hit with heavy snow that is causing travel disruptions on trains, the Tube, the Overground, and national rail services.

Commuters are facing severe delays this morning as a number of Tube services have been disrupted by heavy snow and ice.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for “lying snow and icy stretches making for difficult travel conditions” in the southeast of England, including London.

Find out below which TfL and national services have been disrupted by snow and how to get around London this morning.

Tube

Bakerloo line

There is no service between Queen’s Park and Harrow and Wealdstone due to a faulty train at North Wembley.

Central line

There is no service between Epping and Woodford and between Hainault and Woodford due to heavy snow and ice, which has caused severe delays on the rest of the line.

Circle line

There are minor delays on the Circle line due to heavy snow and ice.

District line

There are severe delays due to power supply problems caused by ice on the track.

DLR

There is no service between Bank/Tower Gateway and Westferry due to a signal failure in the Limehouse area.

Hammersmith and City line

There is no service between Liverpool Street and Barking due to power supply problems caused by ice on the track. There are minor delays on the rest of the line.

Jubilee line

There is no service between Finchley Road and Wembley Park due to a signal failure in the Willesden area, with severe delays on the rest of the line.

Metropolitan line

There are minor delays due to track faults caused by heavy snow and ice.

Northern line

There is no service between High Barnet/Archway, between Finchley Central/Mill Hill East, and between Edgware/Golders Green due to faulty train and signal failures caused by ice on the track. There are severe delays on the rest of the line.

Piccadilly line

There is no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to emergency engineering works at Cockfosters, with severe delays on the rest of the line.

Victoria line

There are severe delays due to a track fault caused by heavy snow and ice on the track.

Waterloo and City line

There is good service on the Waterloo and City line.

London Overground

There is no service between Gospel Oak and Barking, and between Watford and Euston, due to heavy snow and ice on the track.

There are severe delays from Liverpool Street to Cheshunt/Chingford/Enfield and Stratford to Richmond/Clapham Junction, and minor delays on all other routes.

Elizabeth line

There is good service on the Elizabeth line.

Buses

To check if your bus service has been disrupted by snow and ice, use TfL’s bus status tracker.

Simply enter your bus stop number or bus route number to see if your bus has been impacted by the weather this morning.

National rail services

Customers are advised to avoid travelling on Southeastern services this morning due to the severe weather.

The snow is also impacting Gatwick Express and Thameslink services. It is possible that trains could be cancelled or delayed until around 3pm.

Most Gatwick Express trains have been cancelled, while Southern and Thameslink services to Gatwick will be delayed.
