The Tampa Bay Bucs host the Washington Commanders in the opening round of the 2025 NFL playoffs.
The Bucs earned the No. 3 seed in the NFC as the champions of the NFC South while theCommanders qualified for the postseason as a wild card and the No. 6 seed.
Tampa Bay entered the final game of the regular season needing to win in order to clinch the division. With a win and a loss from the Los Angeles Rams, the Bucs move up to the No. 3 seed.
The Commanders began the day as the No. 6 seed, but needed to win in order to hold their position. They did so in styles, scoring a touchdown with three seconds left in the game to defeat the Dallas Cowboys.
The game is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
