The New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers will cap the NFL’s Week 1 with an 8:20 p.m. kickoff at Levi’s Stadium on Monday Night Football on Sept. 9.
This opener features two extremely hopefully teams from the AFC and NFC, respectively, doing doing cross-conference battle.

In terms of the Jets, it’s all about Aaron Rodgers. New York felt as if their entire season a year ago went down the drain during their MNF opener against the Buffalo Bills at home when their quarterback went down. The Jets will run that idea back again and hope for better injury luck.
On the flip side, the 49ers are still riding high from their 2023 successes which concluded in another Super Bowl run that fell short. Is 2024 the year they finally get it over the line?
