The Pac-12 will play its annual women’s basketball tournament starting on Wednesday of this week as the excitement of March Madness begins to take over the college hoops headlines.
The Stanford Cardinals finished the 2023-24 campaign perched atop its conference standings thanks to a sparkling 15-3 mark against Pac-12 opponents. The UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans were not too far behind, finishing two games back at 13-5 each; in total, they all represent three of the six teams — out of 12 member schools — to finish with a winning record.
The bottom of the Pac-12 has the Oregon Ducks firmly in the cellar with a 2-16 tally in conference play, which is only marginally better than the Arizona State Sun Devils, who finished just a game better at 3-15.

The action starts on Wednesday with the aforementioned opening matchup, which also includes the No. 9 Washington State Cougars vs. No. 8 Cal Golden Bears, the No. 10 Washington Huskies vs. the No. 7 Arizona Wildcats, and No. 11 ASU vs. the No. 6 Utah Utes.
The tournament continues on Thursday with the four teams that earned first-round byes matchup up with Wednesday’s winners. The semifinals will be played on Friday and everything wraps up on Sunday, March 10, at 5 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. MT.
