The second-ranked Houston Cougars men’s basketball team welcomes the Cincinnati Bearcats to the Fertitta Center on Tuesday for a Big 12 matchup.
The Cougars are one of the best teams in the country, currently ranked No. 2 in both the USA TODAY Sports Coaches and Associated Press polls thanks to a 24-3 record overall and an 11-3 mark in conference play. Winners of its last five — including two straight against the Iowa Hawkeyes and Baylor Bears, respectively — Houston is on a roll as the schedule begins to wane.
The Bearcats have not been that great, but have not been terrible either, putting together a 16-11 overall tally with a forgettable 5-9 Big 12 mark. However, Cincinnati has only won three of its last 10 games and only one of its last five matchups.
