The Sun Devils come into the weekend ranked 13th in the US LBM Coaches Poll with a 10-2 overall record along with seven wins in nine tries against fellow Big 12 schools. Winners of seven of the last eight, ASU’s most recent loss came at the Cincinnati Bearcats in Week 8.
The Cyclones are just three spots behind in the Coaches Poll at No. 16 with an equivalent 10-2 total tally but one more loss in conference play than Saturday’s opponent. ISU also brings some momentum into the title game having won three in a row — including one over the Bearcats.
