The newly returned BBC Three channel has announced it will be airing Young Masterchef.
A ten part series, it will feature contestants ranging in age from teenagers up to young adults in their early 20s.
Expert judges will assess the efforts of the young foodies.

The original Masterchef series has been the BBC’s highest rating cookery format for the past five years.
So BBC bosses will have high hopes for this youthful spin-off, made by production company Shine TV.
The series of 10 x 30 is made by Shine TV, part of Banijay UK, in association with Ziji Productions, and the Executive Editor is David Ambler. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Sarah Clay.
Kate Phillips, the BBC's controller for entertainment, said: ‘’We’re delighted that Young MasterChef will be coming to BBC Three.
"We know how much BBC viewers love MasterChef and the BBC Three series will be a great opportunity to tap into the huge wealth of young budding chefs out there, from all over the UK.’’
Shine TV’s Executive Editor for MasterChef, David Ambler, added: “We’re super excited to be coming to BBC Three with a fresh new Young MasterChef competition.
"It’s a great opportunity for any young person passionate about food and we can’t wait to open the kitchen doors to discover some incredible cooks from all backgrounds.”

No prior experience is necessary for applicants to apply for the culinary show.
As long as you think you have the raw talent, enthusiasm, dedication to being the next foodie sensation and are within the age bracket for the contest, you could have a good chance of being invited to take part in the show.
