More and more people are turning away from regularly using branded items in the shops as a result of the Cost of Living Crisis, turing to value range or own brand items instead.
As food inflation continues to be a big factor in rising prices, currently sitting at around 19.4%, essential items are becoming more expensive and putting further pressure on households across Northern Ireland.
Belfast Live looked at the own brand and value ranges at Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's in March in order to compare their prices and have checked again three months later to see if there are any differences, with some surprising results.

While there have been increases in some products on the shelves, others have dropped in price, with some of the Supermarkets proving to be cheaper than they previously were.
