Now approaching the end of the 2022/23 season, those loaned out by Liverpool have endured mixed experiences during their time away from the club.
The likes of Rhys Williams and Max Woltman were recalled in January after being unable to make their mark, meanwhile others used the winter transfer window as an opportunity to gain first-team minutes at an EFL side.
No matter the level of the loan, each player in the middle of a temporary spell away from Liverpool will have hopes of returning to Merseyside at the end of the current campaign having made a positive impression on Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff.

A total of 12 stars are currently plying their trade elsewhere, and the ECHO has taken a closer look at how those out on loan have fared since their exits were finalised.
Tyler Morton - Blackburn Rovers
Possibly the player who has got the most out of his time away from Liverpool. Following in the footsteps of Harvey Elliott, Morton has relished his loan at Blackburn Rovers by becoming a key player for the Championship side.
The 20-year-old, who signed a new long-term contract with the Reds in January, has featured a total of 40 times in all competitions this term during what has been a campaign to savour for Rovers. Morton has more than played his part in fuelling their push for promotion and helped the 1995 Premier League winners reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Sepp van den Berg - Schalke
Sidelined since October due to a serious ankle injury, the Dutch defender recently made a return to action in a league fixture for Schalke's reserve side. This outing did not according to plan, however, scoring an own goal and picking up a yellow card in a 2-2 draw with Duren.
Prior to his setback, Van den Berg had started the first four Bundesliga matches of the season and looked set to be playing a starring role over the course of the campaign. Whether or not he returns to the first-team before 2022/23 reaches a conclusion remains to be seen.
Leighton Clarkson - Aberdeen
Like Morton, Leighton Clarkson has reaped the rewards of a regular role in midfield. The 21-year-old has started 23 of Aberdeen's 29 league fixtures this term and has proven to be a valuable asset from both a scoring and assisting perspective. The Scottish Premiership side endured a tough run of one win in nine games between December and February, resulting in Jim Goodwin being sacked as manager, but results have since picked up and the Dons remain firmly in the hunt for a top-six finish.
Conor Bradley - Bolton Wanderers
A standout performer in a promotion-chasing Bolton side, Bradley has adapted with ease to his League One surroundings and has made quite the impact during his short stay.
Bolton boss Ian Evatt has openly admitted he would love to have the 19-year-old back for a second spell next year. “I’d be optimistic but I genuinely believe he will play for Liverpool, and play regularly, he is that good,” he said. “He is developing and improving all the time. We’d be hopeful that we could get one more year of his education but I’d completely understand if Liverpool felt the need to keep him with them to play for them.”
Bradley has made a total of 43 appearances in all competitions, scoring six times and registering six assists for the Whites.
Adam Lewis - Newport County
The left-back recently returned to Liverpool from League Two side Newport County after suffering a season-ending injury.
This setback will have come as a major blow to Lewis, who had made 21 appearances for the Exiles in the fourth tier and was making his mark within the team. Newport boss Graham Coughlan was left disappointed by this blow, telling the South Wales Argus: “We are massively disappointed because he’s been a brilliant servant for this club from Liverpool on loan, and we thank both Liverpool and Adam for his service. It’s a big loss because he gives us balance with the left foot on that side and [is dangerous] with his set-pieces.”
Lewis is out of contract at Liverpool this summer and it seems unlikely a new deal will be forthcoming.
Vitezslav Jaros - Stockport County
Recruited by Stockport for their first season back in the Football League after an 11-year absence, Liverpool's Academy shot-stopper quickly displaced Ben Hinchliffe as the club's No.1 option.
Disaster struck in an October fixture with Salford City, however, as Jaros was forced off through injury and subsequently surrendered his starting spot to the long-serving Hinchliffe. Now recovered from his spell on the sidelines, Liverpool's loanee has not come back into the starting XI and has been on the bench for the previous 15 League Two matches.
Anderson Arroyo - Alaves
Currently in the middle of his sixth spell away from Anfield, the Colombian defender is with Alaves of the Spanish second tier but has lacked regular minutes. The 23-year-old has made 12 league appearances, eight of which have been starts, as his team look to avoid relegation. Alaves currently sit seven points clear of the drop.
Paul Glatzel - Tranmere Rovers
It seems Glatzel simply cannot catch a break on an injury front. The striker returned to Prenton Park for a second successive season after impressing last year, but has been sidelined since September due to a repeated hamstring issue. Glatzel has suffered several setbacks during his earlier career, the latest of which arrived during what was his first outing of 2022/23 against Bradford City after lasting only 14 minutes as a substitute before being forced off. His recovery process is ongoing.
Jarell Quansah - Bristol Rovers
After impressing at Academy level, Liverpool took the decision to send the towering centre-back to League One Bristol Rovers for the second half of the campaign. Since joining the Gas, the 20-year-old has slotted straight into Joey Barton's starting XI and has made 10 consecutive appearances. Quansah was shown red card after losing his cool in a 2-0 defeat by Portsmouth on Saturday, a moment he will have to learn from.
Luke Chambers - Kilmarnock
Similarly to Quansah, Chambers earned a January exit having enhanced his reputation during Academy fixtures in recent months. He has so far played seven times for the Scottish side, who are battling for survival in the top flight.
Fidel O'Rourke - Halifax Town
Recalled by the Reds in January after taking the Welsh Premier League by storm while representing Caenarfon Town, a new move was arranged for the forward to spend time at National League outfit Halifax Town, though he is yet to get off the mark for the Shaymen.
Jack Bearne - Kidderminster Harriers
The 21-year-old attacker has made 13 National League North starts since joining Kidderminster at the start of September, also being deployed from the bench on eight occasions, and has scored three goals during this period. Kiddy remain in with an outside chance of making the play-offs with seven matches remaining.
