How Rangers fans can fly direct to Bilbao from Glasgow

This is how Rangers fans can fly directly from Glasgow to Bilbao ahead of their side's Europa League quarter-final against Athletic Club.

The teams will meet in the last eight of the UEFA competition, with the first leg set to be played at Ibrox on Thursday, April 10.

The return will be held in the Basque country a week later on April 17.

Until now, there have been NO direct flights available between Glasgow and Bilbao, with various stop-offs in Amsterdam or Palma, which are the most popular options for fans.

However, Spanish airline company Vueling has spotted a gap in the market and has announced a special direct connection between the cities with this two-legged encounter in mind.

The chartered plane will carry 200 passengers only.

The flight time comes in at 2hrs and 25 minutes.

The flight will leave Glasgow at 9.30am on the day of the game and arrives in Bilbao at 1.05pm local time.

The return flight departs at 7am the next morning (April 18) and lands in Glasgow at 8.25am local time.

The cost of this direct flight for Rangers fans comes in at around £427.
