Ukraine drop off points near me in Greater Manchester - how people can help those fleeing Russia war

Hundreds of thousands of refugees have been forced to desperately flee Ukraine since Russia invaded the country last week.

520,000 people have so far crossed the borders to neighbouring countries, according to UN refugee chief Filippo Grandi.

And this number keeps rising.

Thousands more - including children, the elderly and disabled - who are unable to evacuate have been forced to seek refuge underground.

Authorities fear the number of refugees could reach up to 4.5 million if fighting were to spread across the country.
