The upcoming Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 15 Pro models might get a significant price bump. While multiple reports indicate price increases with the new phones, the latest one has given the exact price tag for the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
A report from DigiTimes suggests an asking price ranging from $1,099 to $1,199 for the iPhone 15 Pro. If you’re craving the even more premium iPhone 15 Pro Max, you might have to shell out somewhere between $1,199 to $1,299.
The flagship iPhone 14 Pro debuted at $999 in the U.S. and seems like it’s about to be overshadowed. Its upgraded sibling is ready to step into the limelight – the iPhone 15 Pro, with a minimum $100 increase in the base variant.
But here’s the twist: This potential price uptick might be a curve ball for Apple’s sales. Projections show the tech giant might drop to around 77 million units in 2023, a slide from the originally anticipated 83 million. Echoing this trend across the smartphone industry, facing a drop of over 5% year-on-year.
The whispers of this upscale price leap aren’t entirely fresh out of the oven. Renowned Apple analyst, Mark Gurman, hinted at this move earlier in the year. “The iPhone 15 Pro series could be the new costly kid on the block, probably starting at the $1,099 mark,” said Analyst Jeff Pu according to tech grapevine sources.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro unveiling is set for an event on Sept. 12. Those itching to grab the first piece can likely place their pre-orders by September 15, paving the way for the shipping a week later on September 22.
“The forthcoming iPhone models from Apple will be more costly, causing industry sources to be less optimistic about this year’s shipments,” said DigiTimes news in a report.
