Conor McGregor is in for another massive pay day against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.
The Dubliner takes on 'The Diamond' in his eagerly anticipated return to the octagon at Fight Island, Abu Dhabi, in the early hours of Sunday mornng
And ahead of the rematch, McGregor is already guaranteed to blow away one of his own earning records just by showing up.
Each UFC fighter is guaranteed a purse for showing up and fighting, but many can earn much more than that when bonuses, specific sponsorship deals and PPV shares come into it.
For a UFC main event mainstay like McGregor, he often finds that his final earnings dwarf his pre-announced purse earnings.
For example, in his last outing against Donald Cerrone, McGregor boasted a $3,000,000 purse but is thought to have walked away with around $30,000,000 after his cut of the PPV buys were allocated.
And the former two-weight champ has enjoyed better days still, earning roughly $50,000,000 in his grudge clash with Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018.
However, none of his UFC earning even come close to the eye-watering amount he's thought to have earned for his 2017 crossover fight against Floyd Mayweather - at least $85,000,000.
McGregor has a guaranteed purse of $5,000,000 just for stepping into the cage this time around, a career highest for him in the UFC.
'The Diamond' will also earn a handsome $1,000,000 for his troubles, a high for him also.
But both fighters are likely to come away with much more than that in practice, with both guys set to earn a portion of the PPV buys.
McGregor will earn the lion's share and is reportedly expected to earn upwards of $20,000,000 for his return, while Poirier's cut is expected to be much smaller than that.
And McGregor could be in for more lucrative pay days later this year as he reportedly targets an active 2021, with a potential crossover fight against Manny Pacquiao or an extended UFC run on the cards as he targets another reign as lightweight champ.
Either of those options will see the Notorious one's stock rise once more, and with his thriving Proper no 12 whiskey brand, the 32-year-old could enjoy massive earnings in 2021.
