Rangers have taken a huge step towards another Europa League performance bonus after beating Fenerbahce 3-1.
The Ibrox side will host the return leg on Thursday, March 13 with a two-goal advantage in their quest to make the quarter-final stage.
Qualification to the round of 16 saw Rangers bank €1.75m from UEFA. Advancing to the quarter-final would see Rangers receive another €2.5m - on top of their €10.935m so far.
However, Rangers do not receive any win bonus for the first leg triumph over Fenerbahce. They receive the qualification fee of €1.75m regardless of results but there is no scope for bonuses for individual wins or draws over the two legs.
In the revamped league phase, clubs earned performance payments for any wins and draws. This does not continue into the knockout stages with larger qualification bonuses up for grabs instead.
