How much SPFL teams will earn from World Cup as Celtic, Rangers and Hearts set for timely Qatar payouts

Scottish Premiership clubs will land almost £9,000 per day for EVERY one of their players involved in the World Cup later this month - as well as any star that has played for them in the past two years. It means a host of Premiership clubs are set to bank at least £104,000 in FIFA payments from the tournament.

The SPFL will have plenty of representatives in Qatar with the Australia squad in particular boasting six representatives. A trio of Hearts stars will join Celtic's Aaron Mooy, Dundee United's Aziz Behich, Hibs' Martin Boyle and St Mirren's Keanu Baccus in a team that is likely to have plenty of support in from Scotland in our absence from the international showpiece.

Clubs will bank £8,700 per day for every player involved who has played for them in the last two years. That means Jason Cummings who headed to Australia from Dundee earlier this year, will also keep the FIFA cash flowing to Scotland. The same goes for ex Hibs midfielder Jackson Irvine; meaning an incredible eight players in the Socceroos squad will bank cash for an SPFL team.

Champions Celtic are set to be the most heavily represented at the World Cup with Josip Juranovic looking a stick-on for Croatia while Cameron Carter-Vickers is expected to be called up by the USA. But Rangers will also likely pocket substantial cash with Antonio Colak and Borna Barisic in contention while James Sands and Malik Tillman could be called up by the states.

The group stage runs from November 20 to December 2 meaning that £8,700 payout will be multiplied by at least 12 for any club due to cash in. That means a minimum payment of £104,400 per player, which would increase with every day they are involved beyond the group stage. That means Hearts trio Cammy Devlin, Nathaniel Atkinson and Kye Rowles are worth well over £300,000 to the Jambos, who have the most players from a Scottish team in any one squad for Qatar.
