How much money is Mike Tyson getting paid to fight Jake Paul tonight?

Mike Tyson makes his return to the boxing ring tonight when he meets Jake Paul.

The eyes of the world will undoubtedly be on the events inside the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas when the former two-time heavyweight champion of the world laces up a pair of gloves once more.

Quite how seriously Tyson is taking the fight is of course up for debate. While he has been showing off a ripped physique in training, and looked strong on the scales on Thursday night, plenty have labelled the event as little more than a freak show.

Paul is 31 years younger than Tyson, who has not boxed any meaningful rounds in an age.

It has been almost twenty years since ‘Iron Mike’ retired from the sport after quitting on his stool against Irish heavyweight Kevin McBride in 2005. He has since suffered a medical scare on a flight between Miami and Los Angeles, which eventually caused the initial July date of the Paul fight to be pushed back until November.

Tyson, however, has allayed any lingering fears about his health and has since even hinted about a full-time return to boxing.

Clearly, that is difficult to believe but millions will be tuning in to see what the 58-year-old can still do.

The finances involved are also difficult to ignore.

It is almost impossible to know exactly how much Tyson will make from the fight but UFC legend Henry Cejudo is a close friend of the boxer, with the pair previously hosting a podcast together.

He suggested back in March that the 58-year-old is set to earn in the region of $20million (roughly £15.4million).
