How much money does Ed Sheeran make from his Croke Park gigs? Estimated earnings for concerts

Ed Sheeran's huge three-year world tour got underway in Dublin this weekend as over 150,000 people poured into the capital to see the superstar.

The Shape of You hitmaker kicked off his world tour in front of a packed out stadium on Saturday night, before going on to perform to another 80,000 Irish fans on Sunday night.

And as concert goers hailed the shows as 'unforgettable', on a high after his opening night, the chart topper dubbed the experience as ‘probably one of my favourite shows I've ever played’.

"Thank you so much Dublin, I promise it will be a Guinness after this but I need to start with a pint," the musician added, as he pointed a pint of lager to the camera in a video message to his 37 million followers on Instagram.

But how much does the Brit make from these huge shows?

Ed Sheeran concert earnings

The official figures are not released until after tours, and with Ed setting off on a three-year trip around the globe, we won't be finding out for some time.

But the numbers for his last massive tour, which also included Ireland dates, are public knowledge and paint a picture of how much money he is raking in this time around.

Sheeran's Divide tour, which ended in 2019, saw the pop star earn $775.6 million from 8.9 million tickets sold on six continents - according to Forbes.

The Divide tour was a total of 255 shows, which would see Sheeran taking home an average of just over $3 million for every single show - or €2.8 million.

Ed will now head to Cork and Limerick as he continues his Irish leg of his tour.
