Although he was not overly impressed with his performance, Paddy Pimblett continued to put the UFC lightweight division on notice after another first-round stoppage at UFC London. Pimblett came up against Mexican Rodrigo 'Kazula' Vargas, and similarly to his debut win against Luigi Vendramini, started the fight off by taking a strike to the face.
The Baddy was able to whether the early storm from Vargas well though, who attempted to to grapple with Pimblett - something he'd end up regret. After Pimblett was able to get back up to his feet, the Liverpudlian threw Vargas to the canvas with a judo hip toss, before taking his back and locking in the rear naked choke, forcing him to submit.
Pimblett's victory was the second for the city of Liverpool on the night, after Molly McCann won her match against Luana Carolina, and the Merseyside pair both celebrated in the Octagon.

It's a win that will continue to see the 27-year-old's stature raise amongst UFC fans, as his quick rise to stardom after just two fights is something fans have not seen since a certain Irishman entered the scene almost 10 years ago. Whilst Pimblett has distanced himself to being seen as similar to Conor McGregor, it's fair to say that the fans love for the pair is comparable.
After just two contests, Pimblett is being discussed as a potential main event figher on a future card. But he has insisted he wants his contract to be revisited if this is to happen. Pimblett is still on the 'rookie' contract at the UFC - meaning he's not making anywhere near as much as the stars we see headlining events.
A reported figure was released that Pimblett received $107,000 from the fight, something that he has denied. The UFC do not usually release pay package figures. However, what we do know is Pimblett - along with seven other fighters - received a $50,000 bonus for getting the finish.
However, the 27-year-old makes most of his money out of the ring having signed a seven-year deal with American sports media company Barstool Sports. He'll be travelling back to the States in the coming weeks to film some content with the likes Dave Portnoy and Big Cat from the ever-growing company.
