Running back Kareem Hunt is in his second stint with the Kansas City Chiefs after he rejoined the team in Week 4 of the regular season.
Hunt provided a massive boost for the offense, which had just lost star rusher Isiah Pacheco to a leg injury that kept him on injured reserve for much of the regular season.
How much money did Hunt make this season?
Hunt has a one-year contract for $1,210,000, per Spotrac. From what is known about his contract, there were no bonuses, and he was only paid a base salary.
His hit to Kansas City’s salary cap was marginal at only $820,833. This allowed the Chiefs’ front office to add additional talent to the roster, further aiding the franchise in its attempt to earn a Super Bowl LIX berth.
Hunt will be a free agent in 2025 unless he agrees to an extension with Kansas City or is picked up by a different franchise.
