Jones is on a five-year $158,750,000 contract extension that he signed in May 2024. He is making almost $32,000,000 per season. However, Jones’ outstanding pass-rushing ability is well worth the cost to the Chiefs, who rely on him to anchor their defensive line.
Due to the structure of Jones’ contract, the defensive lineman’s cap hit in 2024 was relatively small, with $3,100,000 being paid out in bonuses and his salary amounting to only $1,250,000.
However, in the remaining years of his deal, his salary is expected to make up far more of his total pay, increasing his cap hit substantially after this season.
