Arsenal are set to receive an additional £1.5million from FIFA following the conclusion of the World Cup.
The tournament's organisers have paid for the privilege of having more than 800 players gather in Qatar to put on the event over the past four weeks. They call it their Club Benefits Programme, dishing out compensation to those employers who have helped make international stars.
Any club that has released a player for the World Cup will be eligible for a payment in return. FIFA says a grand total of $209million (£171.6million) has been made available for the current competition, with that breaking down as approximately $10,000 (£8,200) being paid for each player for every day they are away from clubs.

Any player that reached the final four, thus guaranteeing either a World Cup final or third-placed play-off, will bring a payment forecast to total $370,000 (£304,000).
However, payment for each player is split three ways. Broadly speaking a third is paid to whoever held the player's registration in 2020-21, a third for those in 2021-22 and the remainder to the club paying the player this season. Manchester City would take 2/3 of the payment for Gabriel Jesus, for example.
Nevertheless, as per The Athletic, Arsenal are forecasted to receive a healthy financial bonus of around $1.57million (£1.5million) ahead of the January transfer window. The Gunners had 11 players out on duty with William Saliba the only star in with a shot of winning the ultimate prize.
It might not seem like much in the grand scheme of things but every little helps in today's world of business. It's ultimately a welcomed boost.
