Manchester United fans are somewhat underwhelmed with reports linking them with Atletico Madrid forward Matheus Cunha.
Reports from talkSPORT on Monday night suggested the Reds are closing in on the Brazilian striker. It is claimed United are on the verge of a €50million (£42m) deal as they look to add to their attacking options.
The report states there is no swap deal involved with Cristiano Ronaldo, who has asked to leave Old Trafford this summer. Atletico have previously been reported to be interested in the Portugal international.

Cunha only signed for Atletico in 2021 and has scored seven goals in 37 appearances for the La Liga club. The 23-year-old was a second-half substitute as Diego Simeone’s side began their season with a 3-0 win at Getafe, coming on with just seven minutes left in the game.
With United short on attacking options, there is no doubt Erik ten Hag is in need of more options. But fans were slightly underwhelmed after seeing Cunha’s name and have bemoaned the reported price tag.
