How much Lennon Miller will cost amid Celtic, Rangers & EPL interest

Motherwell's asking price for teenage protege Lennon Miller has been revealed.

The Daily Mail claims the Steelman will accept nothing less than £4m for one of Scottish football's brightest young talents.

The 18-year-old has become one of - if not the - most talked about Scottish players in the land.

He's played in all of Motherwell's games so far, becoming the captain in recent games, while scoring four goals.

The Fir Park side want to keep hold of their top asset, contracted until the summer of 2026, for as long as they possibly can.

However, this new report states that if offers of £4m or over come in, then that's when Miller could be moved on to pastures new.

It looks likely that Motherwell will start to receive concrete bids in the January transfer window.

And while Celtic are interested in Miller, they have not made an approach as of yet.

If Brendan Rodgers does want him, then Celtic will need to eclipse Motherwell's record that they forked out for David Turnbull in 2020 - which was £3m.

Rangers are also big admirers of the youngster, but again, have made no contact with Fir Park chiefs.

Liverpool are believed to have an interest too.

"Lennon has done incredibly well since he came into the first team," said Kyrk Macmillan, who was appointed club chairman earlier this month.

"Obviously, he’s now captain of the club over the last couple of matches, did it at Hampden as well for the semi-final (of the Premier Sports Cup).

"I think, ultimately, it’s about Lennon’s growth journey and we want him to stay at Motherwell as long as possible.

"It’s great watching him every Saturday. He gets supporters excited and people are really excited to engage with him and his journey in football.

"There may come a time where Lennon decides: 'I want to try something new in another environment' — but, ultimately, we want to make his time at Motherwell as successful as it can be.

"That is who we are as a football club and that will be the same for Lennon as it will be, hopefully, for other players in the future as well."
