Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have produced a six-part series with Netflix about their relationship, family life, and their decision to leave the Royal Family.
The opening scenes began with a written statement that said it was a “first hand account of Harry and Meghan’s story told with never before seen personal archive”.
The docuseries was directed by Emmy award-winning Liz Garbus, who said: “It has been a privilege to be able to work” with the couple as they “bravely allowed themselves to be vulnerable by sharing their personal stories and archive”.
The documentary, titled Harry & Meghan, includes people such as Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, Harry’s friends, and historians and journalists.
A Netflix source said the communications offices for the King and the Prince of Wales were contacted in advance, and given the chance to react to Harry and Meghan’s claims.
However, a senior palace source insisted Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, and members of the Royal Family were not approached for comment.
The next three episodes will be available to stream on Thursday, December 15, at 8 am on Netflix.
