The amount of money spent by locals councils in and around Glasgow to mark the King's coronation has been broken down - with some spending up to £50,000.
The Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday, May 6 cost around £100million, with multiple councils across the UK splashing out money to celebrate the occasion.
In the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area, some councils spent tens of thousands of pounds for the event, while others did not spend anything according to data collated by openDemocracy.

North Lanarkshire Council had the biggest spend in the region at £50,000. However, the local authority said this was allocated for use by community groups with no official events run by the council. Of the £50,000 figure, £34,133 was provided through grants to 72 community groups
A spokesperson for North Lanarkshire Council said: “A one-off £50,000 fund was allocated as part of the council’s budget setting for community groups to apply for grants to support their own Coronation celebrations.”
Meanwhile, Glasgow City Council spent £7,515.80 on the coronation, holding a number of official events in the city. This included a concert at Glasgow City Chambers Banqueting Hall, and official parade and procession to Glasgow Cathedral through George Square.
South Lanarkshire did not reply to the request regarding the amount of money spent on the Coronation.
Additionally, the council areas for Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, and Inverclyde all spent no money on the coronation.
