Shane Lowry is out in the final group on Sunday of a PGA Tour event with a big prize on the line.
The Offaly man surged into contention on Saturday with a second successive round of 67 at PGA National in the Honda Classic.
After a slow start to the tournament in Florida, Lowry is now in a share of second place on six-under-par with three players Chris Kirk, Sepp Straka and Kurt Kitayama.
However the quarter are five shots behind the current runaway leader Daniel Berger whose rounds of 65, 65 and 69 see him on 11-under-par for the tournament.
Lowry, though, will have the advantage of playing with Berger in the final and can apply some pressure on the American.
On the line is a €1,277,000 first prize, while there is still €774,000 on offer for second place.
A win would be Lowry's first since winning memorably winning the 2019 Open Championship at Royal Portrush. It would also be the 34-year-old's fourth victory on the PGA Tour.
"I am in a great position going into tomorrow," said Lowry after Saturday's round.
"If I am playing a golf course and I shoot two or three under and I am happy with myself, that's the kind of course I like.
"I said yesterday evening, a couple of 67s at the weekend and you never know. So if I can shoot a 67 tomorrow or a 66, I probably won't be far away."
He added of the test: "It's a tricky and stressful golf course and the greens are drying out.
"I probably could have shot a couple better today, but I missed a couple of putts early on. I am very happy with that score. I would have taken it at the start of the day."
