It has been revealed how much Chelsea are set to pay Joao Felix if the Atletico Madrid star completes a loan move to Stamford Bridge this month.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this month, with the Blues up rivalling Arsenal and Manchester United for his signature. And, Chelsea look set to win the race; football.london understands that the west Londoners are close to signing Felix on loan until the end of the season.
The Athletic add that Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with the Spanish giants, with Felix believed to be enticed by the project at Stamford Bridge. It's said that Todd Boehly is expected to pay €11million (£9.7million), a fee which is below what Atletico initially demanded, while also covering the entirety of his - eye-watering - wages.

The report states, as a deal nears completion, an option for a permanent move will not be included and Chelsea will cover Felix's wages in full. It's said that the Portuguese star will extend his deal with the Spanish giants until 2027 before leaving.
According to reports, he's currently earning nearly a quarter of a million pounds a week at the Wanda Metropolitano, which is over £12million a year. But, seeing as Felix will potentially only set to be at Chelsea until the end of the season, his wages will cost the Blues half - a total of £6.4million.
In the meantime, the west Londoners have taken the next step towards signing Felix. According to Spanish outlet AS, he will be in London by Tuesday evening, January 10, to put the finishing touches on a proposed switch.
While Felix looks to be an attractive arrival, concerns have been raised as to whether he's the right signing for Chelsea. Speaking to Casinos En Ligne, Andy Cole said: "Felix is undoubtedly a class player but if you’re talking about £10m for a loan fee you might as well try to get the deal done on a permanent basis if you fancy him.
"I think he’ll create a lot of goals but will he score a lot, Erling Haaland style? No. The two are totally different players."
