How Much Are UFC 309 Tickets For Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic?

Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic headlines this stellar UFC 309 pay-per-view card for the UFC Heavyweight Title. The fight goes down in the early hours of Sunday morning for UK MMA fans – but just how much are UFC 309 tickets to buy exactly?

How Much Do UFC 309 Tickets Cost?

Madison Square in New York City takes centre stage as the UFC are in town for their latest numbered card. UFC 309 sees a mammoth fight in the main event – with the UFC Heavyweight Title belt on the line at the top of the card for Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic.

The heavyweight bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic of course headlines UFC 309, with plenty of stellar fights too on the undercard including some big names and potential stars of the future.

Madison Square Garden has a rough capacity of 19,500, with ticket prices ranging from low to high. Tickets for UFC 309 in fact range from as little as $527, right up to as much as $14,758.

The cheapest $527 tickets for UFC 309 are of course the furthest away from the octagon, up at the top of the arena. The most expensive tickets are the inner octagon-side ones right beside the cage and ring walk track, which are priced at a maximum of $14,758.

These ticket prices are rather expensive, which is one huge criticism of Dana White and the UFC. Their ticket prices are extortionate, even compared to the average price of PPV boxing tickets.

The average price for UFC 309 tickets at Madison Square Garden on November 16 equates to roughly $1,927. It’s fair to say that UFC 309 tickets are very much on the higher side.

This is far more expensive than the UFC’s last PPV event at UFC 308, where Ilia Topuria retained his UFC Featherweight Title with a knockout victory over Max Holloway at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. On that occasions, the average ticket price was over $2,700.

How Does The UFC 309 Ticket Price Compare To Previous UFC PPV Events?

These ticket prices are pretty expensive in general, but not compared to other pay-per-view events by the UFC’s standard. However, you could argue that the UFC are such a big brand in MMA now that they can charge more or less whatever price they want. Not to mention the fact that this card is at the famous MSG – one of the most prestigious places for a fight night in the entire US.

UFC 308 was the last UFC pay-per-view, headlined by Ilia Topuria vs Max Holloway. On that occasions, tickets were deemed extortionately expensive for the featherweight bout at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. However, UFC 309 tickets are even more expensive than the last PPV show by quite some distance.

Ticket prices for standard UFC Fight Night cards range from around $120 dollars, up to $2,500. This is of course far less than UFC pay-per-view ticket prices, but is still quite expensive if you are a fan wanting to watch UFC as a hobby. The UFC as a business are certainly making a fortune through ticket sales.

Prior to the UFC 309 main event,  the best UFC betting sites in the UK have priced Jones as the overriding favourite by a considerable margin. As the champion and all round superior fighter, all of the best UK betting apps are giving the advantage to ‘Bones’ going into the UFC 309 main event.
