How Molly-Mae Hague hid her pregnancy from fans - baggy clothes to sober lifestyle

Molly-Mae Hague has announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Tommy Fury, in a sweet video posted on Instagram.

The 23-year-old former Love Island star delighted fans with the news of her pregnancy, as she shared a clip from Love Island in which Tommy, 23, declared his love for her and the hopes for their future together.

Molly-Mae captioned the announcement post with a quote from Tommy's declaration, which read: "I can’t wait for the adventures that we haven’t even dreamed of yet”

In the black and white video, Tommy is then seen kissing Molly-Mae's burgeoning baby bump, which reveals the influencer is seemingly a fair few weeks into her pregnancy.

This has led to some speculation as to how she has hidden her pregnancy from the public for so long.

It would seem that her sober lifestyle and that she has been wearing and modelling baggy clothes for the past few weeks or more, including a trip to Switzerland which she documented on her social media pages.

Many pregnant women raise suspicion in the the early stages of their pregnancy if they are seen to avoid alcohol - with it often a telltale sign someone is expecting a baby - but thanks to Molly-Mae's pretty-much teetotal lifestyle, she avoided anyone spotting a difference in her drinking habits.

The PrettyLittleThing creative director wrote in her memoir, Becoming Molly-Mae, that she avoids drinking alcohol after her mother turned to alcohol to cope with the pain of a marriage break-up.

Molly says that this "sort of explains" why she avoids drinking too much to this day, as she was 14 when her parents Stephen Hague and Debbie Gordon announced they were splitting up.

She said that her "greatest fear had come true" when this happened and that the split was "really, really hard.

Molly-Mae wrote: "In that first year after the divorce, Mum really struggled. For a very short while just after the divorce, she turned to alcohol to cope with the pain of the breakdown of their marriage."

She continued in her memoir: "Which sort of explains why I am the way I am with alcohol - I pretty much avoid it. I associate these difficult times after my parents' divorce with alcohol being involved and my mum drinking too much - understandably, because her marriage had broken down."

Molly-Mae has also been wearing baggier clothes and had been pictured taking a nap in a nightclub while in Switzerland as she looked to get a little shut eye after a busy day.

Molly and Tommy enjoyed a visit to the Lindt Home of Chocolate before taking a dip in a pool.

Molly went makeup-free for their outing, showcasing her flawless complexion while being wrapped up in a khaki jacket which she paired with brown leggings and white trainers.

Tommy also gave a hint as to why he felt that he should have proposed to Molly already, with the news of a baby on the way.

While in Switzerland, after three years together, Tommy shared his plans to propose to his girlfriend "very soon".

The boxer took to his Instagram Storied to answer questions from fans. One person asked: "When is Molly getting that ring... I think it's time."

Tommy agreed and said: "It was probably time about six months ago but it's coming very soon."

In her memoir, Molly-Mae admited she and Tommy wanted "to have a baby soon", but were happy with their family of cuddly toys for the time being.

"We share goals for the future, too; we both want kids relatively soon and that is really because when you're with someone and it feels so right, the next stage you see is having kids with them," the star wrote.

She goes on to add: "Still, there's no rush! For the time being, we're happy with the children we do have... all 17 of them! We call them our children, but really, they're our collection of cuddly toys; stuffed giraffes, turtles and more."
