How many tickets have been sold for Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte as sell out confirmed

Tickets for Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte sold out quickly on Wednesday after around 200,000 attempted to buy a seat at Wembley Stadium. The queue grew as large as 150,000 at one point - with tens of thousands more attempting to buy tickets - leaving many fans inevitably disappointed with Wembley's capacity being only 90,000.

Wednesday saw the race for tickets begin when they had gone on sale on midday - a day after Fury held a press conference with Whyte refusing to show up. Fury later claimed all 90,000 tickets were snapped up within hours, celebrating on his social media platforms as he stated: "This is for all the people who bought tickets for Wembley and made it a sell-out; I salute them."

This will be Fury's first fight on home soil for four years, with his last five bouts - including his trilogy with Deontay Wilder. Those fights have since his stature raise significantly - putting in impressive boxing performances, whilst overcoming a tonne of adversity on the way.

Fury is now universally in the debate of greatest heavyweight of all-time, and has even stated that this fight could well be his last, as he doubled down on that take in an interview on Wednesday night.

Whilst many had been disappointed to not get their hands on tickets, some thought that it had been their lucky day, making it to the ticket section before choosing their seats and preparing to pay hundreds to confirm their spots. However, their still had been hurdles from this point as some had been booted out of the section as they attempted to pay for their seats.

Hundreds took to social media this afternoon after being gutted - thinking that they had their tickets secured before cruelly having them taken away from them. Others had also been furious after seeing tickets being sold on resale prices for four times the original price. This coming just minutes after the original sale was went public.

Ticketmaster issued a brief statement on social media explaining why a queue system was put into place. They tweeted: "As expected, Tyson Fury v Dillian Whyte is super popular this morning. To make it as fair as possible, we have put everyone in a queue. Be patient and don’t refresh or you’ll lose your place."
